Bob Kern Memorial Scholarship Bob Kern exemplified what RTP is all about – FUN! Bob performed with us for over a decade. Tragically, we lost Bob to a short and brutal bout with cancer. In 1994, Rivertown Players, Inc. sought to remember Bob by establishing the Bob Kern Memorial Scholarship fund. The purpose of the fund is to assist a student pursuing higher studies in music. Her unseen backstage presence was instrumental for many Rivertown successes over the years. Again, tragedy struck and she was taken from us.
